Heads or Tails? You decide!

September 11, 2008 By WRN Contributor

The Milwaukee Brewers will participate tomorrow in coin flips with several teams to determine home field for a potential one-game playoff in the event of a tie for the Central Division title or Wild Card.  The Brewers will have the option of making the “heads-or-tails” call in the coin tosses against teams with lower winning percentages.

Brewers Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Melvin, who originally proposed the idea in 2007, will make the official call for Milwaukee via a conference call with league and team officials.  And wile it will be Melvin making the call, the people's choice will rule.

Brewers fans can cast their preference from now until 10:00am Friday morning at brewers.com.  The majority will rule, and the selection receiving the most fan votes will be relayed by Melvin to league officials.

The coin flip is scheduled for 2:15pm Friday afternoon.
