Congressman Paul Ryan (R-Janesville) says Sarah Palin gave a "fantastic" speech and "hit the ball right out the park". The Janesville Republican was among the crowd of tens of thousands at St Paul's Xcel Energy stadium Wednesday.
Palin's speech emphasized her upbringing in rural Alaska and he five children. She emphasized her "small town values." Ryan says with comparable sized towns throughout Wisconsinm, people in the Badger State can relate to her.
"She's just from the cut of the same cloth."
Palin was a relatively unknown politician, as the Alaska Governor, until she was recently chosen by John McCain to be his running mate. Ryan says with the speech we learned "what kind of leader she'd be."
