Stricker is captain's choice for Ryder Cup team

September 2, 2008 By WRN Contributor

Madison's Steve Stricker made the U.S. Ryder Cup team.  Stricker joins Chad Campbell, Hunter Mahan and J.B. Holmes as Captain's (Paul Azinger) picks for the U.S. squad.

The Americans will take on Europe September 19th through the 21st at Valhalla in Louisville, Kentucky.  The U.S. last won the biennial competition in 1999.

Stricker finished tied for 13th at this past weekend's Deutsche Bank Championship.
