October 27, 2008 By WRN Contributor

Travis Beckum Wisconsin's first Big Ten Conference win against Illinois on Saturday was a costly one.  The Badgers knocked off the Illini 27-17 win to end a 4-game Big Ten losing streak (1-4 4-4).

Tight end Travis Beckum broke his left leg in Saturday's game and is out for the season.  Beckum underwent surgery on his fibula Saturday night and will be out for the season.

Beckum ends his career at the UW with 159 receptions for 2,149 yards and 11 touchdowns.  He finished third in Wisconsin history in both receptions and yards receiving.
