Bigby could return this week against Colts

October 17, 2008 By WRN Contributor

Atari Bigby could return to his starting safety position this weekend when the Green Bay Packers host the Indianapolis Colts at Lambeau Field.  Bigby took part in his first practice on Thursday, since pulling his hamstring in the first half of the Detroit game on Sept. 14.

Packers coach Mike McCarthy said he'll see how Bigby responds today to the day of work yesterday.

Aaron Rodgers also took part in practice on Thursday but was held to a limited number of throws because of his injured shoulder.  He'll play Sunday against Indianapolis.

Center Scott Wells injured a chest muscle in practice on Wednesday and was held out Thursday, but McCarthy said he expects Wells to play Sunday.
