Drug bust on St. Croix tribal lands

Eleven people have been arrested in a crack cocaine ring in Western Wisconsin, eight of them are family members. Ten were arrested on or near Saint Croix tribal lands in Barron, Polk, and Burnett counties. The other suspect was arrested on the Red Lake Reservation in Northern Minnesota.

Ten of them will be US District Court Tuesday in Madison facing drug charges.If convicted the majority of them will face ten years-to-life in prison. U-S Attorney Erik Peterson said a local and federal crack investigation continues, and more arrests are expected.
