Harris could return to Packers soon

October 14, 2008 By WRN Contributor

Al Harris Green Bay Packers cornerback Al Harris underwent a scan Monday and he has shown considerable progress in his recovery from a spleen injury.

Packers coach Mike McCarthy said a return after the bye week isn't out of the question.  "There was significant improvement, so obviously we are moving in the right direction," McCarthy said.  "So we'll see what the other doctors' opinions are.  That's just one doctor's opinion.  We'll send his results out and get back more information.  I think he will be hard-pressed to make it this week, but I think after the bye is realistic."
