Report says Favre helped Lions prepare for Packers

October 20, 2008 By WRN Contributor

Brett Favre According to a story reported on Fox's pregame show and then later at www.foxsports.com , former Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre spent 60 to 90 minutes, giving a “dissertation, every single thing that the Green Bay Packers do on offense.”  The Detroit Lions didn't confirm or deny the report yesterday.  Coach Rod Marinelli told reporters after the teams loss to Houston yesterday that he was aware of the report but had no comment.

Some players refused to believe that Favre would do such a thing.  There were players that simply refused to comment and yet others made comments showing  disgust.

According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, the Packers have reportedly heard “whispers” about Favre giving out inside information to other teams but wasn't certain as to the extent.

During his post game press conference on Sunday, Mike McCarthy said, “I would say it's disappointing,” but then refused to go any further.  Favre has denied the report.

The Packers wound up winning that game against the Lions 48-25, but the Lions did lead at one point, 25-24.
