St. Norbert's long win streak come to an end

October 13, 2008 By WRN Contributor

The St. Norbert College Green Knights saw their 29-game win streak come to an end on Saturday, falling at home to Monmouth 31-22 at Minahan Stadium in De Pere.

The Scots (6-0, 5-0 Midwest Conference ) came into the game with the top-ranked defense in NCAA Division III football and fourth ranked offense.  The Green Knights got off to a good start, leading 10-0 early, but when Monmouth put together three scoring drives in the second half, St. Norbert College was held to 7-points and 132 yards of offense the rest of the way.
