Who's saying what about the Brewers

October 27, 2008 By WRN Contributor

According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution , the Milwaukee Brewers  might offer C.C. Sabathia $100 million for four years to stay with the Brewers.  According to the report, the Brewers are said to be offering more per year for fewer years.   Sabathia has reportedly indicated to friends a serious interest in staying in Milwaukee because he liked it so much.

The New York Times reported that the Milwaukee Brewers are throwing Prince Fielders name in talks with other teams.  Fielder is set to become arbitration eligible for the first time this offseason.

Milwaukee Brewers General Manager Doug Melvin has interviewed three candidates for the teams vacant managerial position.  The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel today says the Brewers are leading towards former Oakland A's manager Ken Macha for the managerial opening.
