3 Houston officers cleared in beating of Driver's dad

December 31, 2008 By WRN Contributor

Donald Driver Houston police say there is no evidence that three patrol officers assaulted the father of Green Bay Packers wide receiver Donald Driver (pictured).

Houston police said their investigation concluded that 56 year old Marvin Driver did not have injuries consistent with a recent assault.  The department said "the investigation could not prove or disprove Mr. Driver's allegations."

The three officers will return to normal duty.  Marvin Driver, who had been in critical condition after the alleged No.v 17 assault, claimed officers beat him after he was stopped for outstanding traffic warrants.
