Wisconsin wins Badger Hockey Showdown

Mike Eaves The 14th ranked Wisconsin Badgers beat Lake Superior State 2-1 in a shootout to win the 2008 Badger Hockey Showdown at the Kohl Center.

Neenah, Wis. native John Mitchell scored the lone goal in regulation for the Badgers.  The two teams went through a scoreless overtime, which means the game is officially a tie.  Tom Gorowsky scored the only Badgers goal in the shootout to give Wisconsin the win.

The Badgers now carry a 7-game unbeaten streak and improve to 10-7-3.
