Woman survives apparent suicide attempt

December 10, 2008 By WRN Contributor

Suicide by exposure? That's what police say a 60 year-old woman tried to do in Madison. She told offices she was distraught, so she wanted to take her life. During the frigid temps overnight, she sat under a tree at Nakoma golf course.

Around dawn, the woman either realized it wasn't working or changed her mind. She tried getting up, but couldn't, because she was frozen. She yelled for help, and luckily another woman was jogging by, heard her and called police. The woman was hospitalized.
