Badgers drop 3rd straight, fall to Hawkeyes in OT

January 22, 2009 By WRN Contributor

Jeff Peterson and Devan Bawinkel hit back-to-back 3-pointers in overtime to help Iowa knock off the Wisconsin Badgers 73-69 in Big Ten men's basketball action in Iowa City on Wednesday night.

Wisconsin's Jordan Taylor forced overtime with a long three-pointer, but the Hawkeyes rallied to beat the Badgers for just the second time in 12 meetings.

The Badgers have lost three straight, including the last two games in overtime.  Marcus Landry had 13 points in the loss.  The Badgers (12-6, 3-3 Big Ten) are at Illinois on Saturday.
