Brewers finalize deal with Hoffman

January 14, 2009 By WRN Contributor

Career saves leader Trevor Hoffman and the Milwaukee Brewers finalized a
1-year, $6-million contract that the two sides agreed to last week.  The deal became official when Hoffman passed a physical.

The 41 year old Hoffman has pitched for the Padres since 1993.  He collected 30 saves last season, giving him 554 for his career.
