The University of Wisconsin men's basketball team blew a 9-point lead in the final 3 1/2 minutes and lost to rival Minnesota 78-74 in overtime. The Badgers led by as many as 14 in the second half, only to see the Gophers make the comeback, picking up their first win in Madison since the 1994 season.
The Gophers became just the third team in the Big Ten to beat the Badgers in Madison in Bo Ryan's eight seasons as coach. Wisconsin is 56-4 at the Kohl Center during that stretch.
Minnesota junior guard Lwrence Westbrook scored 29 points, including a game tying three with 2-seconds left, and 9 more points in overtime.
It's the second straight loss for the Badgers (12-5, 3-2 Big Ten), who got 18 points from Marcus Landry in the loss. Minnesota is 16-1 overall and 4-1 in the Big Ten.
