Big city crime in small town

February 20, 2009 By WRN Contributor

A taste of big city crime in small town Wisconsin. An armed robbery at Verona's Heartland Credit Union included a shot fired. Luckily, nobody was hurt. Lieutenant David Dresser says Thursday's has a theory about it. "Sometimes I think the suburbs are a target because you don't have as many witnesses, and the police departments aren't used to this type of crime," he says. Verona police are still searching for the suspect, who drove away in a mid 80s, tan colored Oldsmobile, described as "junky".
