Dunham dismissed by the Badgers

February 5, 2009 By WRN Contributor

Mariah Dunham Wisconsin junior Mariah Dunham (pictured) has been dismissed from the University of Wisconsin women's basketball team for repeated violations of team rules.  Coach Lisa Stone said the dismissal is effective immediately.

"This was a very tough decision to make but, in the best interests of the program, we felt that it was time for Mariah to leave the team," said Stone.  "We wish her the best in here future endeavors."

The Watertown native has played in 20 games this season, starting 13 of them.  Dunham was the second-leading scorer on the UW women's team, averaging 9.2 points a game.  She also ranked second in rebounds, averaging 4.6 a game.
