Giordana sets Kaukauna's career scoring mark

February 13, 2009 By WRN Contributor

Greg Jensen & Jordan Giordana For 31 years, Greg Jensen held on to Kaukauna High School's career scoring record (1,155 pts).  That record fell last night in Kaukauna's 59-50 win over Appleton North on Fox Valley Association play.

Giordana entered the night needing 9-points to set the all-time mark.  He scored 23 in the win.  The record setting point came on a three-pointer with 2:44 left in the second quarter, breaking Jensen's record.

Jensen, who coaches the 16-1 Amherst Falcons, was in attendance to see the record fall.

Giordana has played varsity basketball since his freshman year.  With a handful of games left in the regular season, plus playoffs, Giordana will have a chance to add to his record total.  Then we'll see how long it'll take for somebody else to break Giordana's record.
