Pair of Badgers back out of Combine workouts

February 24, 2009 By WRN Contributor

A pair of Wisconsin Badger defenders, Deandre Levy and Jonathan Casillas didn't work out yesterday at the NFL Scouting Combine because of injuries.

Levy strained a hamstring during warm-ups and decided not to run the 40-yard dash.  The defensive back earlier bench-pressed 225 pounds 19 times.

Casillas had arthroscopic knee surgery for cartilage damage in December that caused him to sit out the Champs Sports Bowl, the Senior Bowl and now the combine workout.  He did 24 reps on the bench press.

Both players will now try to get ready for the Badgers Pro Timing day on March 4th in Madison.
