Brewers Pound Dodgers

March 26, 2009 By WRN Contributor

The Brewers hammered 5 home runs in a 12-8 Cactus League win over the Dodgers on Wednesday.  Corey Hart, Prince Fielder, Casey McGehee, JJ Hardy, and Mike Cameron all went deep for the Crew in the win.

Manny Parra was charged with 5 earned runs in 3 2/3 innings of work, but 3 runs scored after he was relieved by David Riske.

Ryan Braun drew two walks as he returned to the team after a stint with the Team USA in the World Baseball Classic.  Braun was forced to leave the game with stiffness in his right side.  He says he'll be OK.

The Brewers take on the Rangers today.  Braden Looper is set to get the start for Milwaukee.

The Brewers made a few roster moves on Wednesday.  The team send 3rd baseman Mat Gamel and catcher Angel Solome to Triple-A Nashville.  They cut outfieler Trot Nixon, and released pitcher Wes Littleton.  He'll say in camp as a non-roster player.
