Cold Shooting Sinks Badgers

March 23, 2009 By WRN Contributor

Xavier sent Wisconsin home from the NCAA Tournament with a 60-49 win in Boise on Sunday afternoon.  The Badgers led by 7 early in the 2nd half but then went stone cold from the field.  The Musketeers went on a 13-4 run to take the lead and they never looked back.  UW shot just 25% from the floor in the 2nd half, ending any chance of a comeback.  Marcus Landry led UW with 18.  Trevon Hughes added 17.  The Badgers season ends at 20-13.
