Gallardo turns in solid spring outing

March 19, 2009 By WRN Contributor

Yovani Gallardo 23-year-old right hander Yovani Gallardo turned in his best outing of the spring, holding Arizona without a hit through five innings and helping the Milwaukee Brewers to a 4-1 win over the Diamondbacks.  Arizona managed just one hit the entire game.

Gallardo struck out three and walked three after missing most of last season with knee injuries.

Arizona's Doug Davis held the Brewers without a hit through 2 1/3 scoreless innings.

The Brewers send Manny Parra to the mound to face the Indians in Cactus League action today.
