Green Bay gets 11th seed in NCAA's

March 17, 2009 By WRN Contributor

For the 7th time in 10 overall trips to the NCAA Tournament, the Green Bay Phoenix will open play on the road, at the site of their opponent.  The Phoenix, owners of a 21-game winning streak, drew a #11 seed last night and will face the #6 seed LSU in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on Sunday night.

The only other meeting with LSU was back in the second round of the 2003 NCAA Tournament, a game won by the Tigers.

The Phoenix (29-3) 29 wins this season ties a team record for most wins in a season, matching the team's effort in the 2006-07 campaign.
