Koonce named Athletic Director at UW-Milwaukee

George Koonce Former Green Bay Packers linebacker George Koonce was named Athletic Director at UW-Milwaukee on Tuesday, succeeding Bud Haidet, who is retiring after 21 years on the job.

Koonce played linebacker for the Packers during the 90's.  He's served as a senior Associate Athletic Director at Marquette since June of 2007.  While at Marquette, Koonce has been involved with fund raising, community relations and student welfare.  He also served as administrator for the Golden Eagles women's soccer program.
