Marquette drops another in Big East

March 1, 2009 By WRN Contributor

The schedule hasn't been kind to Marquette down the stretch and the season ending injury to Dominic James and that has made matters even worse.  The Golden Eagles dropped their second straight, falling at Louisville, 62-58 on Sunday.

The 8th ranked Golden Eagles couldn't overcome 33% shooting from the field as star guard Jerel McNeal hit just 3 of 19 in the loss.  Wes Matthews had 19 and Lazar Hayward had 16 to lead Marquette.  McNeal was held to 10.

The loss dropped the Golden Eagles to 23-6 overall, 12-4 in the Big East.  Louisville improved to 23-5 overall, 14-2 in the Big East.
