More charges in Chippewa Falls H.S. bus tragedy

March 11, 2009 By WRN Contributor

The truck driver involved in a deadly 2005 Chippewa Falls High school bus crash faces new charges in federal court. The 20 count indictment alleges that Michael Kozlowski, 26, made 20 false driver's log entries between August 31,2005 and October 11,2005.

The allegations involve hours spent sleeping and times that trips ended. Kozlowski is already facing 12 other counts of falsifying his driver's log. Each count carries a maximum penalty of 5 years in federal prison. His trial is currently scheduled for May 11th.

Kozlowski was found not guilty of criminal charges in the deaths of 5 people from Chippewa Falls High School when the truck he was driving hit their bus in October, 2005.
