Packers won't retire Favre's #4 this year

March 16, 2009 By WRN Contributor

Green Bay Packers President Mark Murphy said this weekend at the teams annual FanFest celebration that the Packers will retire Brett Favre's #4, but it won't happen this season.  Murphy said both sides need some time.

Murphy said they've already cancelled one retirement ceremony and it would be smart to make sure he is retired rather than going through the situation again.
