Trial begins for drag racing drunk

Testimony begins today in the trial of a Green Bay areawoman accused of killing two teens in a drunken crash.  A jury selected in Eau Claire will hear the case against 46-year-old Monique Geske.

Police say Geske was drag racing with anothervehicle at over 90-miles-an-hour on a business street south of LambeauField last June when her car collided with a third vehicle, killing AshleyBritsch-Knetzger and Talhia Heroux, 18-year-olds who had justleft work at a nearby restaurant.  The deathswere highlighted in a billboard campaign against drunk driving,  one reason why a jury from outside Brown County was brought in.

 The jury will hear opening arguments in Green Bay this morning.  Geskefaces seven felony charges, including drunken homicide.  The trial isexpected to conclude by the end of the week.
