Women's Hoops

UW-Green Bay was beaten by LSU 69-59 in Baton Rouge in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Sunday night.  The Phoenix season ends at 29-4.

The Badger women's basketball team advanced to the quarterfinals of the WNIT with a 49-45 win over Kentucky on Sunday at the Kohl Center.  Tara Steinbauer scored a career high 18 points to lead UW.  The Badgers will host St. Bonaventure on Thursday night in Madison.

The Marquette women open up their defense of their WNIT Championship as they host Butler tonight in Milwaukee.  Marquette is 16-15 on the season while Butler is 20-11.
