April 16, 2009 By WRN Contributor

Wisconsin 's 2009 football opener, Sept. 5th against visiting Northern Illinois, is set to kickoff at 6pm and will be televised by the Big Ten Network .

It'll be the fifth night game at Camp Randall Stadium since 2005 and the 13th in Stadium history.  The last time the Badgers played a home night game against a non-conference opponent was the 2002 opener when they rallied to beat Fresno State 23-21.
