Brewers eclipse 2-million tickets sold

April 21, 2009 By WRN Contributor

The Milwaukee Brewers reached two-million tickets sold for the 2009 season today, marking the second-fastest climb to the milestone in team history.

The earliest that the team has reached this mark for a season came on April 19, 2001, the first year that the team played in Miller Park.  In comparison to last season when the Brewers set an all-time franchise attendance mark with over 3-million fans, the 2-million mark was reached on April 24.

Through six home games, the Brewers have drawn 212,197 fans to Miller Park for an average attendance of 35,366.  At the home Opener on Friday, April 10 against the Cubs, Miller Park witnessed its second largest attendance ever at 45,455.
