Brewers set to face Cubs in home opener

April 10, 2009 By WRN Contributor

Miller Park The Milwaukee Brewers are playing their 41st home opener today.  They're 22-18 all-time and carry a 4-game home opener win streak.  Braden Looper makes his first start as a Brewer at Miller Park.  He's 0-4 with a 7.01 ERA in 12 career Miller Park appearances, including 3 starts.

The Brewers are 1-2 on the season after last night's 7-1 loss to the San Francisco Giants.  The Brewers only run came on a 7th inning Jason Kendall sacrifice fly.  Manny Parra held the Giants in check for the first three innings, then surrendered five runs in the 4th and 5th innings to take the loss.
