Gamblers advance in USHL Playoffs

April 16, 2009 By WRN Contributor

The Green Bay Gamblers had no problem polishing off the Waterloo Blackhawks in the opening round of the United States Hockey League's Clark Cup Playoffs.  Green Bay swept the best-of-five series 3-games to none after last night's 8-2 win in Waterloo.

It's the first time the Gamblers advanced in the playoffs since the 2001-2002 season.  The Gamblers now await the winner of the Cedar Rapids vs. Indiana series for the upcoming Clark Cup semifinals.
