Humphrey to return to Packers

April 7, 2009 By WRN Contributor

Tory Humphrey The Green Bay Packers signed backup tightend Tory Humphrey (pictured) to what's believed to be a minimum wage deal worth $535,000 this coming season.

Humphrey backed up Donald Lee last season and will battle for the backup job again this season with 2nd year pro Jermichael Finley.  Finley had just 11 catches for 162 yards last season, but he's seen as a valuable blocker.

The Packers also announced the release of linebacker Kenny Pettway, who suffered a season ending ligament tear against Carolina last November.
