Predator gets 240 more years prison time

April 22, 2009 By WRN Contributor

A man who pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting multiple Janesville children and filming those assaults has been sentenced to an additional 150 years in prison and 90 years extended supervision. 30-year-old Jeremy Schade is already serving 220 years in federal prison but received a state sentence on six different charges involve crimes against children as young as nine.

Judge Alan Bates told a Rock County courtroom Tuesday, in addition to the pornography, there was voyeurism involved physical injury and psychological injury to the victims. Prosecutors described Schade as a horrific sexual predator and a monster.

The defense told Judge Bates they wanted Schade to be able to get treatment he didn't receive in the past. His mother also spoke at the hearing about how she does not condone his actions but as her mother she must love her son unconditionally.

The sentencing by the state is intended as an insurance policy in case Schade's federal sentence is appealed.
