Brewers stay hot, sweep Marlins

May 15, 2009 By WRN Contributor

Dave Bush The Milwaukee Brewers continued to show why they're one of the best teams in baseball, knocking off the Florida Marlins 5-3 yesterday and sweeping the 3-game series.

The Brewers have won 9 of their last 11 games and 18 of the last 24 and remain tied with the Cardinals for first place in the National League Central division.

Prince Fielder hit the go-ahead home run and Bill Hall clubbed the 100th homer of his career.

Dave Bush worked 7 solid innings to earn his second win of the season.  Trevor Hoffman notched his 8th save in 8 chances.

Yovani Gallardo pitches for the Brewers tonight as they open a series against the Cardinals in St. Louis.
