Day 2 finals from NCAA Div. 3 Baseball Regionals

May 15, 2009 By WRN Contributor

Two of the five Wisconsin teams in the NCAA Division 3 men's baseball regional tournament field have been eliminated.

St. Norbert College lost back to back games, suffering a 7-6, 11 inning loss to St. Scholastica and a 8-4 loss to St. Olaf.

Beloit was knocked out of the Midwest Regional in Oshkosh with their second defeat, an 8-2 loss to Stevens Point.  The Pointers are the only team Wisconsin team remaining in the Midwest Regional.

In Moline, Illinois, Whitewater scored twice in the 9th to beat Washington University of Missouri 3-2.  Meanwhile, Carthage College beat Fontbonne 8-7 in the Central Regional.  Weather could force postponement of that regional today.  As of about 9am Friday morning, it was pouring in the Quad Cities and they may be looking at moving those games to tomorrow.
