Former Packers headed for College Football Hall of Fame

May 1, 2009 By WRN Contributor

Two former Green Bay Packers , safety Chuck Cecil and defensive tackle Steve McMichael, have been voted into the college Football Hall of Fame.

The 18-man Class of 2009 will be inducted at a dinner in New York in December.  They'll be enshried at the hall in South Bend, Indiana in the summer of 2010.

Cecil played his college football at Arizona, then professionally with the Packers from 1988 to 1992.  He's currently the defensive coordinator of the Tennessee Titans.

McMichael starred at the University of Texas.  He spent most of his pro career with the Bears, but finished up with the Packers in 1994.
