Targeted Chrysler dealers join forces

May 15, 2009 By WRN Contributor

A couple of Madison Chrysler dealers on the "hit list" are doing some dealing themselves to stay in business. Russ Darrow says it was a shock when he heard the announcement . He says everyone has been on edge because the dicussions have been in a bankruptcy court rather than the automaker communicating with its franchised dealers. So now Darrow and Don Miller plan on converging operations.

Darrow says his location on the city's west side would stay in business while Miller would run a dealership on the east side.

"Madison will be safe with two Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge dealerships," says Darrow.

Chrysler will have to sign off on any such deals.
