Testimony continues in prayer death trial

May 19, 2009 By WRN Contributor

A former business partner and Bible study member testified Tuesday morning in the trial against the Weston prayer death mother.

Althea Wormgoor and her husband moved to Wisconsin from California last year to work on a coffee shop-Bible ministry with Dale and Leilani Neumann, but had a falling out over business and religious differences.

She testified Leilani called her to their home Easter Sunday to pray over 11-year-old Kara who was in a coma. Althea "completely panicked" when she saw Kara's mouth twitch and called 911 for help.

One of the Neumann children tried forcing them out of the house, but Althea said neither Leilani nor Dale stopped them from calling 911.

Prosecutors will not call Dale as a witness, but he'll be sequestered in case the defense does.
