Wisconsin H1N1 cases top 500

May 13, 2009 By WRN Contributor

Wisconsin now has more than 500 cases of the H1N1 flu virus.

The latest figures from the State Health Department report 508 confirmed cases in the state. The vast majority of those have been located in Milwaukee County, with 394 cases of Influenza-A reported. Dane County has the second highest total with 34 and Waukesha ranks third with 29 cases. The rest of the cases are spread out across 17 other counties.

Wisconsin has seen a massive jump in confirmed cases over the past week, ever since the CDC authorized state labs to begin conducting tests on their own.
