Brewers closer Hoffman is NL Pitcher of the Month

Trevor Hoffman Milwaukee Brewers closer Trevor Hoffman is the National League pitcher of the month for May.

Hoffman appeared in 12 games during May, going 11 for 11 in save situations.  To date, Hoffman hasn't allowed a run in 16 outings, which covers 16 innings and he's 14 of 14 in save opportunities overall.  He's allowed just 6 hits and 1 walk while striking out 15.

Hoffman and the Brewers close out their 4-game series against the Florida Marlins in Miami tonight.  Dave Bush gets the start for the Brewers.
