Brewers Rally For Win

June 16, 2009 By WRN Contributor

Prince Fielder and Ryan Braun powered the Brewers to a 14-12 win over Cleveland in their series opener on Monday night.  Milwaukee rallied for six runs in the 8th inning to steal the victory.

Prince Fielder's grand slam highlighted the six run 8th inning that put Milwaukee on top.  Fielder also doubled and drove in 6 runs on the day.  Ryan Braun also had a big day, hitting a two run shot in the first inning and adding triple to finish the day with a total of 5 RBI.

Todd Coffey picked up the win in relief of Dave Bush.  Trevor Hoffmann pitched the 9th for his 16th save of the season.

Yovani Gallardo will take the hill tonight for the Brewers in game 2 of the series in Cleveland.
