Illegal adoption alleged

June 24, 2009 By WRN Contributor

A Stevens Point man is charged with illegally adopting a baby last year. Jason Dolski is charged with abduction for taking the baby boy from his mother last April without paying the $3,000 he and his wife had promised her.

He's also charged with falsifying a birth certificate in a move that led a family court commissioner to grant him sole legal custody and permanent physical placement of the child last summer even though it isn't his.

Dolski initially said the child was his but changed his story and said he and the mother came up with a tale that she was the surrogate so they didn't have to reveal their affair.

Dolski is jailed on a $10,000 cash bond. A preliminary hearing is set for Tuesday.
