Badger women's basketball team releases non-conference schedule

July 16, 2009 By WRN Contributor

The Wisconsin women's basketball team has announced its 2009 non-conference schedule, which includes 11 games to serve as a tune-up before the Big Ten Conference season.  The schedule includes five regular season home games at the Kohl Center, a trip to Eugene, Oregon for the BTI Tip-Off Tournament and one home exhibition game against UW-Oshkosh.

The Badgers welcome the Titans of UW-Oshkosh to the Kohl Center, Nov. 8, for the lone exhibition game of the season.

The season officially tips off, Nov. 15 against North Dakota.  After UND, the Badgers play their first of three in-state rivalry games when they travel to UW-Milwaukee, Nov. 19.

Wisconsin returns to the Kohl Center to host back-to-back games before leaving for its annual Thanksgiving Tournament.  The Badgers take on Cleveland State on Nov. 22.

UW-Green Bay then comes to town, Nov. 24 for the second in-state rivalry game.

The Badgers travel to Eugene, Ore., for the BTI Tip-Off Tournament from Nov. 27-29.  The Tournament includes Portland State, Cal State Fullerton and Oregon.

Wisconsin stays on the road following the holiday tournament and visits Raleigh, North Carolina to take on North Carolina State for the annual Big Ten/ACC Challenge on Dec. 3.  Then it's on to Milwaukee for a game at Marquette on Dec. 11.

The 2009 non-conference season wraps up in mid-December at the Kohl Center.  Wisconsin welcomes SIU-Edwardsville, Dec. 13 and then Robert Morris University, Dec. 15.
