Record road work this summer

July 16, 2009 By WRN Contributor

Wisconsin is making good use of its federal stimulus money to fix up the roads this summer, according to Craig Thompson of the Transportation Development Association.

Thompson says a national report card recently gave Wisconsin a D-plus for the condition of its roads. He's hoping that will improve with all of the orange barrels that are up around the state.

More than $500 million in federal stimulus money has been earmarked for state road improvements.
