Crop duster crashes

August 12, 2009 By WRN Contributor

A close call for the pilot of a crop duster, following a plane crash Wednesday morning near Evansville.

The pilot was attempting to take off from a grass landing strip, when it was unable to make it off the ground and crashed into a nearby cornfield.

Janesville Gazette reporter Gina Duwe was at the scene of the crash. She says the pilot was able to escape the plane before it burst into flames and declined medical treatment.

The FAA has been notified.
