Rouse suffers hamstring injury

August 21, 2009 By Bill Scott

Aaron Rouse was in the mix for one of the backup safety jobs for the Green Bay Packers.  Last night (Thursday), Rouse’s pursuit of that job took a hit when he suffered what appeared to be a significant hamstring injury.  Rouse was taken off the field in a cart.

Packers rookie left guard T.J. Lang was fined $7,500 by the league for a clip in Saturday night’s game against the Cleveland Browns.  Lang said he plans to appeal.

Thursday night’s practice was the final two-a-day of the summer.  The Packers are off today and will face the Buffalo Bills in the second exhibition game of the preseason tomorrow night (7pm).
