Stricker takes first round lead at Deutsche Bank

Madison’s Steve Stricker came out firing today during the first round of the PGA Tour’s Deutsche Bank Championship, firing a 8-under par 63.  Stricker is in the clubhouse with a 2-shot lead, after finishing tied for second at the Barclay’s last week.  Stricker trails only Tiger Woods in the FedEx Cup point standings.  Woods shot a 1-under par 70 today

Madison’s Jerry Kelly also played well on day 1, firing a 5-under par 66. 

Round two is tomorrow near Boston.
